At Messiah’s Kids, it is our belief that children are a gift from God and each one is uniquely created and loved by Him! It is our privilege to love and teach them reflecting God’s grace in all we do. We believe a quality Christian Preschool nurtures not only the children but also the parents, and brings them daily to the open arms of Jesus.
We are licensed by the Texas Health and Human Services (Texas HHS) which insures excellence in safety, health, early-care and educational standards. Children who experience a quality program have greater academic success, enhanced self-esteem, and increased self-control. Messiah’s Kids plans for at least two teachers in every classroom and maintains low teacher-to-child ratios. We are also committed to employing well-trained teachers who receive at least 24 hours of annual training and are certified in CPR and first aid.

Gina Huskey, Director
Originally from Chicago, I made my way to Houston many years ago to begin teaching and escape the cold weather. Since the early 2000’s, my husband and I have called many places home including Mobile, Lumberton, Qatar, and now Boerne. I’ve been fortunate to teach in many different places, including overseas, and have had the unique opportunity to teach alongside many amazing educators. I hold a Bachelor's of Science in Education from Illinois State University and a Master's in Educational Management with Principal Certification from the University of Houston.
As our family began to grow, I took a break from the classroom and became a stay-at-home mom. It was through working with my children in their earliest years, that I fell in love with early childhood education. I have three children, and we are always on the run. As my children got older, my heart began tugging me back into the classroom and Messiah’s Kids became the perfect place.
Being the director of this exceptional school allows me to continue to build relationships with our families. I am also privileged to lead this amazing group of teachers to provide exceptional early learning opportunities to our community. The best part is that we get to do all of this through the direct ministry of Messiah Lutheran Church. Leading our families and students through parenting and childhood with the grace of the Lord's love is an awesome opportunity that we cherish every day at Messiah's Kids.
In my free time you will find me loving on my sweet Cocker Spaniel, Molly.
